Relocation and Moving Expense Policy
»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË recognizes that new employees selected as a result of a national or regional search may need assistance with moving expenses.
Policy

- Relocation assistance will be paid as a hiring bonus and will be taxable income to the employee under revised IRS guidelines.
- The relocation hiring bonus amount will be specified in the offer letter.
- New employees must live at least 50 miles from »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË, NC to be eligible for this benefit.
- All relocation expenses must be billed directly to and paid by the College employee.
»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË recommends locally vetted Armstrong Relocation for moving services, however employees may choose any moving company they desire. Staff
Staff with starting annual salary between $40,000 and $64,999
Hiring Bonus equal to $1,000
Staff with starting annual salary of $65,000 or higher
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
Faculty
Visiting Professors
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
Tenured and Tenure Track
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
