A chemistry major on the premedicine track, Ian spent the summer interning for Black Hills Orthopedics in Rapid City, South Dakota. While there, he completed clinical research for the Hip and Knee Center and had the opportunity to shadow and learn in a hands-on environment. Having witnessed countless procedures and met hundreds of patients, the summer internship reaffirmed his desire to pursue a career in medicine.
The Matthews Center provides students with the means to explore career interests, pursue summer internships, and prepare for life after »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË. This includes graduate school, career-related employment, and fellowships.
Fellowships are competitive awards and programs that provide funding and other resources for meaningful immersive work, like research, teaching, or service. Like scholarships, fellowships can also support academic study.
These featured fellowships support a variety of experiences in and outside of the U.S. Interested candidates should contact »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s Office of Fellowships to learn more about these fellowships and other programs.
