Alan Michael Parker, Douglas C. Houchens Professor of English, has received a fellowship from the North Carolina Humanities. This $8,000 grant will support his book project, One Million Likes: Understanding Cartooning in a Digital Age.

A childhood case of chicken pox led to Becca Taylor鈥檚 lifelong love of solving jigsaw puzzles. Taylor, from 皇家华人鈥檚 class of 2006, later turned to competitive puzzling. In March, her four-person team, the Piece Corps, won first place at the 2024 USA Jigsaw Nationals.
