Darden Callaway '14

After completing two political internships—one as a press office intern during high school and one after her first year of college at The White House—Darden Callaway decided to explore additional career options. Family friends, professors, and the Center for Career Development led her to consider banking. After networking with »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË alumni she found that banking positions suited her interests well and would complement her history major with business knowledge.

The summer after sophomore year, Callaway interned as a financial analyst at Constellation Capital Management LLC in New York, a hedge fund run by a »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË parent. In preparation for the next summer, she contacted »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË alumni working at RBC Capital Markets who provided her with practice interview questions and general advice. Once she got the internship as a summer analyst, she headed to the New York office where she marketed RBC's service, created Excel models for stocks, and researched stock prices and trends. As a history major she especially enjoyed researching primary documents and forming her own interpretations of them. She is now work for RBC Capital Markets as an investment banking analyst.
